White & Roses. Symbolism.

The rose also is a symbol that has a marvelous history. And like the cross, it can have contradictory meanings. It is a message of innocence; and a symbol of passion and heavenly perfection; purity and in utero; death and life. The rose is the flower of the Venus but also the blood of Adonis and Christ. The rose garden symbolizes Paradise -- the place of the mysterious alliance.
The rose also is a sign of silence and secrecy. In the Mysteries roses were sacred to Isis. It is also the flower of her son Harpocrates or younger Horus, the god of silence.
Numerological, the rose represents the number 5 -- because the wild rose has 5 petals which is the emblem of Health and Safety; ...it depicts Spirit and the four elements." The Pythagorean school used the pentagram as the symbol of their teaching.
In an ideal sensation the rose symbolizes the expanding appreciation of being through the evolving of the senses.
It was such a day that I had a gift of two roses, the red and white. The white represents friendship for me, and the red, even people could consider love, I would say it represents passion and truth. Passion toward goals on one's life. It was a first time, I got an impression that you really can compare the rose with the cross. For some reason, the white rose reminded me of a cross, and in Rosicrucian symbolism they have the red rose and the white cross. So the white rose could you remind of a cross sometimes. maybe I just got lucky to get this to remind me about symbol.
It was an interesting experience.
